The ever-popular AHS Annual Meeting Silent Auction continues to offer fun and fantastic bidding opportunities on a wide range of donated items. Proceeds from the auction benefit future annual meeting educational opportunities and Hanoverian promotion.

In order to give members who are unable to attend the 2011 AHS Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet a chance to join in on the excitement of the Silent Auction, we are opening up the items for online bidding on the EQ|quest Marketplace through Thursday, February 3, 2011, with the top bids competing with the traditional "live" bidding to be held the evening of Saturday, February 5 during the Awards Banquet.

If you are the HIGH BIDDER when the LIVE AUCTION concludes, you will be contacted by a member of the Silent Auction committee on Saturday, February 5, 2011 and asked to provide valid credit card information which will be used to process your payment for the item at the conclusion of the event. Overall winning online bidders are responsible for the shipping fees required to have the item delivered.

AHS Online Bidding Silent Auction Rules

1. **SPECIAL NOTICE** – Online bids compete with the traditional "live" bidding event held in conjunction with the Annual Awards Banquet. Winning online bids are NOT guaranteed to be the overall winning bid.
2. Minimum Bid increments are based on current value. Items listed as $0 - 249.00 ($5 minimum increment), $250 - 499.99 ($10 minimum increment), $500 and above ($25 minimum increment)
3. By Bidding on this auction site you are committing to paying the amount bid to The American Hanoverian Society. If you bid on multiple items, you may win and have to pay for multiple items.
4. Bidders must provide legitimate addresses, phone numbers and email addresses.
5. Bidders are responsible for contacting the AHS Silent Auction Representative before bidding to ask any questions.
6. Winning Bidders MUST adhere to the Auction Donor's stipulations or contracts if applicable.
7. Overall Winning Online Bidders are responsible for the shipping fees required to have the item delivered.
   
8. Overall Winning Bidders will be contacted by a member of the Silent Auction committee at the conclusion of the Live Auction event and asked to provide valid credit card information which will be used to process your payment for the item.
   
9. Items will not be shipped until the bid is paid for.
   
10. In cases where a winning bidder does not remit payment, the next highest bidder, may be contacted and offered the service.
    
11. All auction items are provided "As Is Only". The American Hanoverian Society is not responsible for damaged or unserviceable items.

Bidding indicates you have ACCEPTED the AHS Online Bidding Silent Auction Rules above and will comply with them. Bids cannot be cancelled once they are submitted. Upon receiving notification that you are the winning bidder you are obligated to purchase the item.
4. SELLING Items posted in this auction are to sell to the highest bidder and sale is irrevocable. Upon completion of the auction it is the seller's responsibility to conclude the sale with the winning bidder. The seller agrees to the following: - Do not inflate the price of your item by bidding on the item yourself. - Do not engage in any fraudulent or illegal activity. - Do not infringe on any third party copyright, trademark, service mark or patent. - Do not spam (send unsolicited email) to users of this site. Spamming will result in immediate termination.
5. DENIAL OF SERVICE SITE OWNER reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. This right will be exercised when it becomes evident a user is in some way abusing the system.
6. TERMS OF SERVICE This comprises the entire agreement between the User and Site OWNER and supersedes all other agreements. By registering and participating as a user you are indicating your consent to be bound by this agreement.
